Peet is a native of the Kalahari and his love of nature and passion for sheep farming was his choice to farm after school, of course.
At a young age Peet already made his mark in the success stories of the South African Dorper breed and more specifically as a breeder of Dorper.
In 1996 he achieved the record price of R250 000.00 with his ram, Boude. The highest price ever paid for any stock race in South Africa. The same year he received the record for a Dorper ewe R30 000.
The descendants of both these two animals are at the core of Vergesig White Dorper and several elite rams and ewes bred since
